M3U8 streams are a form of video streaming in which the video is divided into segments and streamed progressively over the internet. This allows M3U8 streams to play videos smoothly and load efficiently, as the video quality automatically adjusts to the speed of the respective internet connection.
Embedding an M3U8 Stream
- Insert a new media element into your content.
- Open a course or knowledge module in the editor.
- Use your mouse to drag a Medium element into the content area.
- Configure the M3U8 stream as a media asset.
- Click the placeholder for the media to be inserted. Click Select Media Asset from Library.
- Click Create New Media Asset.
- Enter the language and a title for the M3U8 stream.
- Select Video Stream as the file type and paste the video link (e.g., https://example.com/stream/playlist.m3u8) into the Video Stream URL field. Define any file name of your choice.
- Specify the height and width for optimal display. A typical video format is 1280x720.
- Select Save and Close. The M3U8 stream is now set up as a media asset and embedded in your content.
