To integrate abbreviations, key terms or sources clearly and effectively and to reuse them easily later, please use the functions for integrating glossary entries and references via the text settings in Knowledgeworker Create:

Highlighting the text formatting options for references and glossary entries

As with all reusable elements in Knowledgeworker Create, changes are automatically applied to all uses of the glossary entry or reference.

Glossary Entries

Frequently used abbreviations or technical terms can be managed centrally via a glossary. Learners see the term highlighted in color and can click or hover over it for more information.

How to create glossary entries in Knowledgeworker Create:

  1. Select the term and click the glossary icon in the text formatting options.
  2. The glossary library opens: either assign an existing term or add a new term using the “Create New Glossary Term” button.
  3. Customize the information by adding new data or changing existing terms if necessary:
    • Tab Meta Information: Meta Title

The meta title is not visible to learners. In addition to the glossary term, you can also enter information that supports the organization of your glossary terms.

  • Tab Glossary Entry: Term, definition and acronym, if needed
  • Fields marked with an asterisk are required.

The glossary term for the selected word is now stored and displayed accordingly.

References

References list sources and bibliographical references. By clicking or hovering over an abbreviated reference, the complete information appears.

How to create references in Knowledgeworker Create:

  1. Place the cursor at the desired position in the text and select the reference symbol in the text formatting options
  2. The reference library opens: either assign an existing reference or add a new one using the "Create New Reference" button.
  3. Edit the details: In the General tab, enter the short term, the type of reference, e.g. Internet source, and other details.

This is how the reference is displayed for learners:
