If you want to evaluate the learning experience in detail, you can publish courses with support for data collection using the standard Experience API (xAPI) from Knowledgeworker Create.

Before you start

Make sure you have created a course that is ready for publishing. Find the course you want, for example, using the search and select Open

Check that the displayed content state and settings meet your expectations.

Make sure your delivery platform, such as your learning management system, supports packages that use the standard Experience API.

Verify that all languages you are delivering are fully translated.

Share a course as an Experience API package

Create an Experience API package

  1. Search for the course you wish to publish.
  2. Choose Share. A window opens with various options for sharing and information about existing releases.
  3. Select the xAPI (TinCan) package. option.
  4. Choose the languages you want.
  5. Choose Export. The package will be created. This process can take up to several minutes.
  6. Finally, you can download the created package and publish it in a learning management system or make it available on the web.

Download the Experience API package and publish it in a learning management system

  1. Wait until the Experience API package is available.
  2. Select Save as file.
  3. The package will be downloaded and saved to your computer.
  4. If the automatic download did not work, choose Download, to get the package.
  5. You can then upload the downloaded Experience API package from your computer to your learning management system.
    Please consult the instructions of your learning management system vendor for this.

Publish Experience API package on the Internet 

  1. Wait until the Experience API package is available.
  2. Wait for Share on web (with QR code).
  3. The package is provided. You will receive a link where you can launch the package and an associated QR code.
  4. Save the link address and note the associated credentials.
  5. Choose Close if you have saved all the information and want to complete the deployment. If you need the link or credentials at a later time, you can always use the Share dialog and view the deployment.
